LOMONOSOV MOSCOW UNIVERSITY
Lomonosov Moskova Üniversitesi Rusya’nın en eski , en büyük ve en saygın üniversitesidir. 1755’de Moskova da kurulmuştur.
Üniversitenin bu zamana kadar ki misyonu kaliteli bir eğitim vermek, yenilikçi keşifler ve araştırmalar yapmak ve öğrencilere katkı sağlamaktır. Lomonosov üniversitesinin öğrenci profili ise keşfetmeyi ve öğrenmeyi seven ve yaratıcı öğrencidir. Ayrıca okul bu nitelikte öğrencileri kazanmayı ve eğitmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Üniversite Rusya’nın ilk üniversitesi olduğundan dolayı tarihi oldukça geniştir. 11 nobel ödüllü profesörü bulunmaktadır.
Okul içerisinde yaklaşık 1.000 adet bina bulunmaktadır. Bunlardan bazıları; 4 müze, Rusya’nın en büyük kütüphanesi (9 milyon kitap ile) , 8 yurt , botanik ve bilim bahçesi ve üniversiteye ait bir adet yayın evi bulunmaktadır.
Lomonosov neredeyse her öğrenciye yurt kapılarını açmaktadır. Odalar öğrencilerin rahat edebileceği şekilde konforlu bir dizayna sahiptir. Öğrenciler rahatça ders çalışabilmeleri için her katta etüt odaları ve okuma odaları bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca yurtların içinde spor alanları, eğlence merkezleri, dinlenme odaları, prova odaları ve bilgisayar odaları bulunmaktadır.
Lomonosov üniversitesi 14.000’e yakın akademik personele sahiptir. Bunlardan yaklaşık 6.000’i profesördür. Bunun yanı sıra 40.000’den fazla öğrencisi vardır. Bunlardan yaklaşık 4.000’i uluslararası öğrencidir.
Üniversitenin öğrenim dili Rusçadır.
Üniversitenin 27 fakültesi bulunmaktadır. En bilindiklerinden bir kaçı ise; genetik, eczacılık, biyotıp , ekoloji ve bilgi teknolojileridir. Üniversite hem lisans hem de yüksek lisans eğitimi vermektedir.
